Scope and Topics
The Eastern-Europe Training School for Potential Users in Bratislava is organised as a part of the Integrated Initiative of European Laser Research Infrastructures II - LASERLAB-EUROPE. Participants will have an opportunity to benefit from the Workshop on Advanced Optical Techniques in Bio-Imaging, organized jointly with Becker-Hickl GmbH (July 04-05), followed by 2-day practical training on advanced laser and photonics setups provided in collaboration with our industrial partners (July 06-07).
The Laserlab Europe User Community Training School offers an innovative approach of training for young researchers in laser science as well as for researchers from other fields (such as biomedical sciences), to gain insight into the principles and applications of advanced laser and photonics techniques used in bioimaging and spectroscopy provided by leading scientists and developers.
At the same time, the participants will receive all necessary information to become a prospective users of the Transnational Access Programme provided by LASERLAB-EUROPE Consortium network. Our intention is to build up a closer contact between the users and technology providers, to establish and enhance cooperation among the European laboratories in the biomedical laser research and advancing the involvement of East European research teams in the international projects and programmes.
